Welcome to Sherwood Park Youth Flag Football League

    Sherwood Park Youth Flag Football League (SPYFFL) is bringing NFL Flag football to Sherwood Park. Flag football is a variation of regular football, with no contact and played on a much smaller field due to smaller team sizes. This gives each child a greater opportunity to handle the ball and practice their skills! Flag is a rapidly expanding sport across the world. Tournaments are popping up regionally, nationally and internationally giving kids the chance to travel with sport! Just this Fall, it was announced that Flag Football is now an Olympic sport and will be making its Olympic debut in 2028 at the Los Angeles Summer Olympics! This is a fantastic opportunity for our youth to grow in a sport they love!

With the support of NFL Flag, we provide a structured opportunity for kids to discover the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendship—both on and off the field.
